Who are we?
Divya Mathew is delighted by the little (and not-so-little) joys that come her way. Overjoyed by the thought that Christ has made her priceless, she can giggle till the sun sets and laugh till she cries. She can’t wait to interview Rahab and Esther in heaven. She would also enjoy some construction how-to’s from Nehemiah, and some invigorating discussions with Apostle Paul and Daniel. For now, she is pursuing her interests in Architecture and Religion. Divya writes from Silver Spring, Maryland.
Janice A. Becca watched her parents join the Adventist church at the young age of 5. She attended Jefferson Adventist Academy and truly enjoys meeting and working with dedicated SDA young adults actively engaged in church life. Janice is currently pursuing a law degree at the University of Houston, and attends the Houston International SDA Church. In her spare time, Janice enjoys writing, traveling, and spending time with close friends and family.
Jared Kannanaikkel is 22 years old and currently attends Strayer University studying Finance. Jared works part-time at the General Conference as a customer service representative with Griggs University. Other than his school and work life, he loves working out, running, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Jared also enjoys spending time with friends and family, and doing so as often as he can.
Javits Rajendran is another young adult caught up in between life and God. He says, that you can count on the latter any day. After changing his major from Medicine, he is currently pursuing an undergrad degree in Journalism in Houston, Texas. He is an active member in his school’s Student Government Association. When not in school, he enjoys reading nonfiction authors and traveling. Javits has been a member of the SDA church, and has served as a young Pathfinder Director for a local church in Armenia. His family remains in his home country of India, where both of his parents are educators in the Adventist school system.
Kijana Knight (aka ellamennopea) is a Houston native now living in Austin, TX. Even though you will hear her repeatedly whine about all the stress she is under, she thrives on activity and projects. She has been a software engineer for the past 5 years, but is also very active in her church (the Austin First SDA Church) as a YA leader, music ministry team member, and the choir leader. She enjoys studying the Bible and discovering new things about her faith with other people. In her spare time, she plays music (piano and flute), goes hiking, reads, and takes on more artsy-craftsy projects than she can handle. She loves the Lord and wants to be more active in various ministries. Kijana holds a BS in computer science from Rice University and a MS in information studies from UT at Austin.
Philip Kuttikkattu-Mathew enjoys Photography, Designing, and playing his guitar and piano in his spare time. He is currently perusing his degree in Aviation Management. He hopes to one day fly and own his own airplane. He attends the Southern Asian SDA church, where he was the Assistant Coordinator for the Collegiate Mission Trip for the Year 2006, Director of Collegiate Mission Trips in 2007, Associate Pathfinder Director for the pathfinder Club, and he has also served in many committees at school and church.
Regie Samuel is a Junior majoring in Finance at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. When he’s not busy doing homework, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with family. His Bible and Mrs. White’s writings are his primary, almost exclusive, reading materials. He has been a member of the Spencerville SDA Church for 12 years. Regie also serves as a Leader at a Friday night worship service which he and friends founded at the Takoma Park SDA Church called The Real Word. Most people remember Regie for his sense of humor and, more specifically, his intense and loud laugh. Laughing and smiling is what Regie does best.
Sylvester Paulasir is a theology student living in the suburbs of Washington DC. He enjoys being with his family. He also loves to read and play cricket in his spare time. He has been on three mission trips to Central America and also on two others in the United States. His ambition is to serve the Lord as a medical missionary after finishing his formal education. He has recently published a book on Christian living entitled, I Love the Lord, but…. He is currently serving as a part-time youth pastor in Newport News, VA.
